A trailer for the upcoming plague movie Contagion has been released.

And here's a trailer for an upcoming indie movie that might not technically be PA or really apocalyptic at all but it's a movie about people who prepare and wish for the end so I felt it was worth posting.

Here's the first trailer for the upcoming german PA film 'Hell'.

Re-Kill

Another trailer for the upcoming post-apocalyptic zombie/COPS movie Re-Kill has been released.

"It's been 5 years since the outbreak that wiped out 85% of the world's population, but the war between Re-Animates (Re-Ans) and Humans wages on. Most of the major cities are still uninhabitable. Within the few surviving cities, the Re-Ans have been segregated into "zones" and are policed by the R-Division of the QUASI S.W.A.T. Unit who hunt to re-kill the Re-Ans in the hope of quelling a second outbreak."

Indie filmmakers bringing the apocalypse to Houston

"THE 'SKIRTS" is a post-apocalyptic action-adventure short film, to be shot in Houston, TX.

SYNOPSIS: In a postapocalyptic near-future, there exists a single society; Strata -- a totalitarian dystopia ruled by a charismatic and manipulative figure-head, wherein it's denizens must adhere to strict conformity or be subject to execution or banishment. Beyond it's borders is the outskirts -- the wasteland that is the rest of the world. Starving and poor, for those on the outside it's every man for himself, as Strata's elite mercanaries (known as shepards) are sent not only to keep the 'skirts out, but to prevent and destroy any forming civilizations or organized society. Knell, a deprogramed shepard defector, now living among the 'skirts, is being hunted by her former fellow enforcers. When she and her companion, Scrap, a mentally unhinged vagabond-warrior who raised herself alone on the outside, must fight back -- they become Strata's prime targets.

"THE 'SKIRTS" is scheduled to be approx. 25-minutes in running time, and will be complete in the fall of 2011.

Wasteland Weekend Event

Correction: The Apocalypse is actually Sept 23-25, 2011

The Judgement Day cultists may have been wrong about May 21st, but the apocalypse IS coming. And it’s going to feature lots of young Californians in mohawks and leather.

Experience the Apocalypse Sept 23rd–25th at Wasteland Weekend 2011, a 3-day post-apocalyptic party in the Southern California desert. Slated to occur in the Mojave desert north of Los Angeles, the costumes-mandatory event promises to build on the success of Wasteland Weekend 2010, an event which brought out some 400 people, was covered by G4 and the Associated Press, and was honored by a special acknowledgement from Mad Max film franchise director, George Miller.

Wasteland Weekend features themed vehicles, post-apocalyptic sports, Bartertown vendors and hundreds of impressively costumed attendees. Nightfall brings live music, stunt shows, metal grinders and fire dancers.

This year, the organizers already expect the turn-out to double, and are adding live bands, a Thunderdome for combat, and bigger and better set pieces as they progress towards a 360-degree immersive post-apocalyptic environment.
